Register Now for the 2018 JEI Math Olympiad! JEI Math Olympiad 2018 Who hasn’t heard the question “When am I ever going to use this?” For many students, studying math can seem pointless and boring. In our mission to change this impression, we want to give your child the opportunity to put those skills to good use by competing with students from across the country to become a JEI Math Olympiad Champion. Is your child ready to take the Math Olympiad challenge? The JEI Math Olympiad is open to students in grades 1 through 8 and will be held on Saturday, March 17th, 2018. Designed to give both JEI and non-JEI students a chance to test their problem-solving and math skills, the competition is a great opportunity for children to come together and celebrate all the hard work they do. For JEI students, please register at your local JEI Learning center! For non-JEI students, online registration is now open at jeilearning.com. Registration deadline is Monday, March 12th, 2018. We look forward to seeing you there! The following venues will be hosting the JEI Math Olympiad this year: West Coast: Milpitas (CA), Folsom (CA), San Diego (CA), Chico (CA), Austin (TX), Missouri City (TX), The Woodlands (TX), Sugarland (TX), Cinco Ranch West (TX) East Coast: North Brunswick (NJ), Englewood (NJ), Bayside (NY), Gaithersburg (MD), Johns Creek East (GA), Cumming (GA), Levittown (PA), Cary (NC), Ashburn (VA), Urbana (MD) Canada: Calgary (AB), Coquitlam (BC) Check-in: 9:00-10:00am Testing: 10:20-11:10am Raffle: 11:15-11:30am More about the test: There will be 30 questions for each grade level. Students will have 50 minutes to complete the Math Olympiad. Questions will be open-ended and scored on a scaled basis (depending on level of difficulty) Students will be tested on 4 domains: Algebraic Thinking, Numbers and Operations, Problem Solving Math, and Geometry and Measurement Results will be released on Monday, April 16th.

2017 JEI Essay Contest GET INSPIRED AND COMPETE! JEI is excited to announce our 2017 Essay Contest. The contest will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 and is open to all students in 2nd to 8th grade. This contest is a great way to test essay-writing skills and participate in a fun learning event! Come in and register at the nearest participating JEI Learning Center. FIND A CENTER NEAR YOU! What to expect: Essay-Writing Duration: 1 hour Upon completion, all participants' essays will be evaluated by our expert writing judges. Once the evaluation is finished, prizes will be handed out to the top three participants in each grade level.
