Jana Bymun
Lead Tutor / Curriculum Manager
Ms. Jana has been part of the JEI Learning Center Livermore-West team for over five years and currently serves as our Curriculum Manager. She holds two Associate’s Degrees in Liberal Arts and is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development. Passionate about effective educational practices, she believes learning should be engaging and enjoyable, and she values building strong, meaningful connections with her students.
Olivia Callahan
Ms. Olivia holds an Associate’s Degree in Mathematics and plans to transfer to the University of California, Santa Barbara to pursue a degree in Financial Mathematics. She brings a calm, supportive, and patient approach to tutoring, with a focus on helping students build both confidence and strong conceptual understanding. Outside of JEI, Olivia enjoys staying active through hot Pilates, hiking, and running.
AHomework will vary by the child’s ability level. Typically, it will take less than half an hour per day.
AStudents will do the remaining pages of the workbook as homework. JEI recommends they complete a few pages daily.
AStudents come to the center once a week. The weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long.
AEach week, students receive one workbook for the subject they are enrolled in. Instructors will review the key concept pages of the week with the students.
AStudents will take Achievement and Diagnostic Tests periodically. In JEI Math and JEI English, students take an interim test during each weekly session.
AClasses have a maximum ratio of five students to one teacher.
AA JEI Learning Center generally open starting in the early afternoon hours on most weekdays. For specific center hours, please contact your nearest center.
