2018 JEI Essay Contest!
Join JEI Learning Center students across the nation in the 2018 Essay Contest! This submission-based contest will help your students focus their Reading and Writing skills for the chance to win cash prizes and have their work featured in the inaugural JEI Learning Center 2018 Essay Content Winners literature publication. Submissions will be scored by division (below) and the ability to fully complete the prompt provided. Division A - Grades 2-3 Division B - Grades 4-5 Division C - Grades 6-7 Division D - Grades 8-9 Registration costs $25 per student and students can register for this contest at their local JEI center through October 31st. Register Now for the 2018 JEI Math Olympiad! JEI Math Olympiad 2018 Who hasn’t heard the question “When am I ever going to use this?” For many students, studying math can seem pointless and boring. In our mission to change this impression, we want to give your child the opportunity to put those skills to good use by competing with students from across the country to become a JEI Math Olympiad Champion. Is your child ready to take the Math Olympiad challenge? The JEI Math Olympiad is open to students in grades 1 through 8 and will be held on Saturday, March 17th, 2018. Designed to give both JEI and non-JEI students a chance to test their problem-solving and math skills, the competition is a great opportunity for children to come together and celebrate all the hard work they do. For JEI students, please register at your local JEI Learning center! For non-JEI students, online registration is now open at jeilearning.com. Registration deadline is Monday, March 12th, 2018. We look forward to seeing you there! Students will have 50 minutes to complete the Math Olympiad. Questions will be open-ended and scored on a scaled basis (depending on level of difficulty) Students will be tested on 4 domains: Algebraic Thinking, Numbers and Operations, Problem Solving Math, and Geometry and Measurement Results will be released on Monday, April 16th.
